Bio

Natasha Lepine is an emerging Métis artist that resides in Quesnel, BC. She spends most of her artistic time exploring plein air painting with oils. These works reflect coming to peace with stillness, translating the emotions of the landscape into art, appreciating the different textures in BC's geography. Natasha’s work is often credited for being whimsical and warming. She recently has worked with groups such as First Peoples’ Cultural Council, Métis Nation British Columbia, and BC Culture Days.

Artist Statement

"When discussing the beautiful landscapes of British Columbia, Prince George and its surrounding area is often underappreciated. During my residency, I’d like to explore the outdoors that cradle Prince George, where I would study the landscape through Plein Air painting. From the vast view at the top of Teapot Mountain, to the steep and sandy descents of the Cutbanks - each landscape has its own set of emotions that moves us. Studio time will be spent reworking and beginning larger Plein Air pieces, while also researching Prince George’s history."
