The Omineca Arts Centre is an interdisciplinary, locally-led artist run centre that is grounded in arts-based community development. Learn more about our Board that keeps the Centre going here.
Our organization was initiated through a collaborative effort between a passionate group of emerging artists, curators, and community organizers, in partnership with Living Labs at Emily Carr University of Art + Design and Two Rivers Gallery following the Neighborhood Time Exchange project.
With a commitment to fostering collaboration and expanding opportunities for both emerging and established visual, literary, musical, and performing artists, the Omineca Arts Centre creates an inclusive space for diverse artistic expression to flourish.
The Omineca Arts Centre is nestled in the pedestrian core of downtown Prince George. Our mission is to foster impactful and collaborative artistic projects, experiences, and create a community that drives the arts and culture scene in the Omineca region. With a strong emphasis on inclusivity and multi-disciplinary collaboration, we strive to create a vibrant hub that inspires and connects artists and art enthusiasts alike.
At Omineca Arts Centre, we invite local, regional, and visiting artists, curators, musicians, performers, authors, and poets to connect and engage in projects that support and drive the arts in Central and Northern British Columbia. Our offerings include:
