Conscious Dance/Authentic Movement for mental, physical, social, spiritual and cultural re-balancing for every body. This inclusive event is open and beneficial to every community member, including families, as well as people with chronic dis-ease and people who think they cannot dance etc.
Please bring your Yoga mat or blanket, warm socks, water bottle, comfy clothes: whatever you like to wear and come as you are. This movement is about being non-judgemental, about re-connecting with body mind community space…through rhythm and music.
Dancing, rhythm and music is traditionally rooted in human existence. As such, it always played and plays an essential part in healthy living, despite of its common neglect in modern daily life. Dance can be a creative art from of self expression and empowerment and thus contribute to health.
Other than competitive dancing and sports, which are not suitable or affordable for many people, it can be a non-judemental, joyful, playful and thus attractive regular physical activity as well as an outlet for individual creative expression. Research increasingly shows also its strong and diverse mental, physical as well as social and empowerment benefits, acting as coherence resource, as social “glue” and antidote for physical challenges, to just name a few of its diverse multi-levelled health benefits.
